This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious and experienced leader to join our popular and thriving primary school as Assistant Headteacher. The successful candidate will have the ability to lead, inspire and motivate colleagues and children and significantly contribute to the continual development of the school. Working as part of our committed and enthusiastic leadership team, you will hone your leadership skills as you work collaboratively to build on the school’s existing strengths.
The role requires a driven Assistant Headteacher to not only join our school, playing a vital role in its strategic direction. The successful candidate who will have a three-day teaching commitment will initially have the key areas of responsibility - Curriculum and Standards and will:
Inspire and lead: Motivate staff and pupils alike, fostering a culture of excellence in teaching and learning.
Support and collaborate: Work closely with the Head of School, Academy Committee and Senior Leadership Team to drive the school forward, ensuring all children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Be a role model: Demonstrate a commitment to your own professional development and model best practices in leadership and teaching.

Qualifications
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Primary Age Range
Degree-level qualification (or higher)
Further professional qualification (e.g. NPQSL, NPQH)Experience
Minimum of five years’ teaching experience within the primary phase
Proven track record of good to outstanding teaching practice
Demonstrable impact on raising pupil achievement within own classroom and across the school
Effective line management of staff
Clear understanding of, and commitment to, safeguarding
Evidence of strategic thinking and successful implementation of initiatives
Teaching experience in more than one school
Experience working beyond an individual school context
Effective collaboration with external agencies
Leadership of staff professional development
Experience across phases, including EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2Professional Development
Evidence of recent and relevant continued professional development (CPD)Leadership and Management
Proven leadership of initiatives contributing to whole-school development plans
Demonstrable impact on raising standards in teaching and learning across the school
Evidence of improving pupil achievement at a whole-school level
Leadership of professional development in specific areas (e.g. coaching, mentoring, ITT)
Strong team leadership skills, including effective prioritisation, planning, time management, and delegation
Successful experience of budget management
Experience working in partnership with external organisations and the local community
Effective leadership of whole-school developments
