An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Accountant to work for a global business who offer cutting-edge solutions in Life Science and Industrial Chemicals, on a 6 month temporary contract. This is a hands-on role supporting the finance controller to deliver a high-quality accounting, compliance and reporting service for 4 companies in UK and Ireland.
Job Description:
General ledger reconciliations, journals, cost allocations, payroll validation, maintenance of lease information and fixed asset registers.
Management accounts reporting and validation.
Audit support including preparation of client schedules and collation of related evidence
Accounts payable: account reconciliations & resolution of issues, vendor account set up & bank verification, purchase order management (overheads only), manual payments control.
Sundry fiscal reporting.
Ad hoc analysis and support to the Finance Controller. Candidate Requirements:
Graduate, AAT/CIMA or QBE
Previous experience working as an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Manager, Assistant Management Accountant, Senior Accounts Assistant or similar role is essential
Previous experience of large, fast paced environment
Experience of multi-currency transactions and shared service centre collaboration
D365 experience useful
Advanced excel skills Hours: Monday – Friday,8:45 am – 5:00 pm, Hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.
Salary: £17.95 per hour
