Project Manager – Construction / Retail Fit-Out

Overview
An excellent opportunity to join a busy, project-led organisation delivering refurbishment and retail fit-out projects across the UK. You will take full ownership of assigned projects and client accounts, ensuring safe, efficient delivery from initial survey through to completion.
This role suits an experienced Project Manager with a background in retail fit-out, shopfitting, or construction, who is confident managing site activity, coordinating contractors, and working directly with clients.

Location
Based in the West Midlands with regular UK travel. Commutable from Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Walsall, Stourbridge, West Bromwich, and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities

Manage projects from initial survey through to handover, ensuring delivery on time, within scope and budget

Attend site, define project requirements, and plan works effectively

Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring safe and compliant site operations

Act as the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams

Monitor progress, manage risks, control costs, and oversee project documentation

Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, vendors, and key stakeholders
What You’ll Bring

Proven experience in retail fit-out, shopfitting, construction, or similar project-led environments (retail or commercial sector experience strongly preferred)

Strong understanding of the full project delivery lifecycle, from design and manufacture through to installation and completion

Demonstrable experience managing clients and stakeholders directly, coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams

Familiarity with EPICORE would be a distinct advantage, though it is not essential

Strong planning, communication, commercial awareness, and problem-solving skills

Flexibility to travel across the UK and work occasional out-of-hours when required
Qualifications

SMSTS qualification desirable

CSCS Manager Black Card preferred
