We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Sales & Marketing Manager to support our dynamic sales and marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving sales, supporting marketing initiatives, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in a global manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Support:
- Deputise for the Sales & Marketing Manager when required
- Process customer enquiries, quotations, and sales orders efficiently and accurately
- Liaise with global customers, agents, and distributors
- Provide product information in various formats and follow up on open sales leads
- Hold distributors accountable to sales targets
- Maintain and update the CRM database with accurate customer and sales information
- Prepare and issue order acknowledgements, shipping documents, and invoices
- Monitor sales inbox and allocate or respond to enquiries professionally
- Generate regular sales reports for management review
- Support customer visits, including hospitality arrangements
- Manage e-commerce operations and website updates
- Create dispatch paperwork including manuals, packing lists, and bills of lading
- Produce monthly geographical sales and service sales reports.
Marketing Support:
- Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns, events, and trade shows
- Manage website and social media content updates
- Coordinate production and distribution of marketing materials (brochures, newsletters)
- Support SEO, email marketing, and digital advertising initiatives
- Conduct market research to identify sales opportunities and industry trends.
Secondary / Occasional Responsibilities:
- Provide cover for other sales staff when required
- Process spares, warranty, and service orders, including dispatch and invoicing via Sage 50
- Handle courier dispatches (DHL, TNT, FedEx, Trax)
- Process credit card payments, scan documentation, and maintain service databases
- Support purchasing administration when needed
Required Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in sales administration or marketing support, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM systems
- Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and social media management tools
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team
