Butchery Hygiene Operative
1:30pm – 10:00pm | Shift Pattern: Any 5 days from 6 | £14.02 per hour
Responsible for maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness within a butchery and food processing environment, ensuring full compliance with food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out thorough cleaning and sanitation of butchery equipment, machinery, work surfaces, and production areas.

Ensuring all hygiene tasks are completed in line with food manufacturing standards, HACCP principles, and company procedures.

Safely handling and using industrial cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Preventing cross-contamination by adhering to strict hygiene and food safety protocols.

Completing hygiene records, checklists, and documentation accurately.

Supporting production teams by ensuring a clean and safe working environment at all times.

Identifying and reporting any hygiene, safety, or equipment issues to supervisors.

Working efficiently within a fast-paced food manufacturing and processing environment.

Following all health & safety guidelines, including the use of PPE.
Skills & Experience:

Previous experience in food manufacturing, food processing, or butchery hygiene (preferred).

Strong understanding of hygiene standards within a food production environment.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness and safety.

Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work shift patterns including evenings.

Physically fit and able to carry out manual cleaning tasks
