Audit/Compliance Administrator

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Audit and Compliance Administrator to join our Warehouse and Distribution team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the site operates in full compliance with BRCGS certification and other food safety standards. The successful candidate will support internal and external audits, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate across departments to uphold operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular internal audits to verify compliance with BRCGS standards, company policies, and food safety regulations.

Maintain comprehensive audit documentation, records, and corrective action logs.

Support the preparation for external BRCGS and regulatory audits, including evidence gathering and follow-up actions.

Assist in the development and implementation of compliance programs, policies, and SOPs.

Monitor compliance performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements.

Deliver training and guidance to staff on BRCGS procedures and compliance expectations.

Work closely with warehouse operations to maintain food safety, quality, and hygiene standards.

Support the Compliance Manager with reports, risk assessments, and performance data for senior management.

Participate in site-wide continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives.

Keep up to date with evolving industry regulations and best practices in food safety and compliance.
Skills & Experience Required

Minimum 2 years’ experience in audit, compliance, or quality assurance (ideally within the food industry).

Strong understanding of BRCGS processes, HACCP, and food safety regulations.

Excellent attention to detail, organisational and analytical skills.

Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and compliance management systems.
Desirable Qualifications

Certification or training in BRCGS or related food safety standards.

Experience within a warehouse or food distribution environment.

Knowledge of ISO standards or similar quality management systems
