Henry Timmis Ltd is a well-established, family-run business specialising in *high-end landscaping, civil engineering, and groundworks projects* across Wiltshire and the surrounding areas. We are now looking for a *Groundworks Supervisor* to join our team and take a hands-on leadership role, managing a small team of 4–5 employees.
The Role
As Groundworks Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
* Supervising and coordinating a small team to deliver projects on time and to specification.
* Overseeing all aspects of groundworks and civil engineering operations, including:
* Site preparation and excavation
* Foundations, drainage, and utilities
* Hard landscaping and external works
* Working to engineering drawings and construction specifications
* Liaising with private clients, contractors, and developers, maintaining strong relationships.
* Ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant working practices.
* Managing schedules, resources, and reporting progress.
About You
We are looking for an experienced and professional individual who can bring a *personal touch* to client relationships, while ensuring technical accuracy on site.
Key skills and attributes include:
* Strong background in *groundworks, landscaping, and civil engineering within the construction sector*.
* Ability to interpret and work from *technical drawings, site plans, and specifications*.
* Previous experience in a *supervisory role* within a small to medium team.
* Excellent *communication and organisational skills*.
* Professional, reliable, and hands-on approach.
* Experience working within a *family-run business environment* is desirable.
* Local to *Devizes, Wiltshire*, with the ability to travel within a *50-mile radius*.
