Trinity Business Support are currently working in partnership with our Halifax based client who are now looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager.
Our client are worldwide leader in the manufacturing of PVC products, supplying clients across the globe.
Due to an increase in business along with continued growth, our client is now looking to add this role to their ever-growing team based in Yorkshire.
Core Responsibilities:
- Reduce lead times and improve overall efficiency, adding value to our client
- Develop and implement efficient systems for tracking and communication throughout the supply chain.
- Build strong, long-lasting relationships with key global suppliers, ensuring alignment with our ISO 9001 quality standards.
- Manage inventory control and demand planning using proven methods.
- Continuously work to reduce costs while maintaining margins.
- Implement a robust demand management process.
- Support the Implementation of planning tool software.
- Work with the Warehouse Manager to ensure smooth logistics operations and adherence to health & safety standards.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee clear communication and information flow from suppliers, including pricing and updates.
- Partner with sales and marketing on new product development.
- Gain a deep understanding of competitor offerings and develop strategies to maintain our competitive edge.
- Mentor supply chain team members, to achieve both business and personal objectives, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Managing a team of 4 including Planning Manager, Purchasing Manager, and Warehouse Manager.
- To ensure that Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards are adhered to including the requirements of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 and all matters relating to this are dealt with using the resources within the company.
- Ensure all relevant statements relating to FSC controlled wood, PEFC chain of custody and RSB Advanced Products are included, and standards upheld.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years Supply Chain management experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Analytical mindset with strong business acumen.
- Highly skilled in data analysis and reporting.
- Deep understanding of supply chain processes.
- Strong team player with a leadership influence.
- IT literate, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Clear and persuasive communication style.
- Previous SAP experience is essential.
Salary, benefits and working hours:
- £55,000 per annum
- 25 days annual holiday + all bank holidays
- Monday to Friday 8.30am 17.00
- Friday 8.30am to 14.30
