OUTSIDE IR35 (or Inside) EC&I Technician to join a leading Chemical Manufacturer based in the Mirfield area, West Yorkshire for a pay rate of between 40 - 50 / hour on a 3 - 6 month contract.
The company is a globally operating manufacturer supplying a stable sector. They are the UK's largest manufacturer of the specialist product manufactured on their site.
To be successful in this position as a EC&I Technician you will have :
HNC, HND or degree level qualification in electrical, electronic or control engineering.
Hold either an Electrical OR an Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation background.
Experience working on Heavy / Process Plants (such as Chemical, Pharmaceutical or equivalent).
Ideally, holding knowledge of applicable legislation including HaSaWA, COMAH, DSEAR, CompEx and relevant HSE Codes of Practice.
Responsibilities of the EC&I Technician :
Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently.
Diagnostic and Repair of equipment such as PLC based control loops, safety systems, SCADA / DCS / PLC and hard-wired control systems.
Carry out functional testing of process control systems and routine testing of safety instrumented systems.
Record and maintain records of all electrical, control and instrumentation systems across the site, utilising the CMMS system, ensuring they are up to date at all times.
Read and extract information from drawings and maintenance manuals.
Perform and record risk assessments for routine and non-routine tasks.
Work with the project team delivering and commissioning on site projects.
