Major Recruitment are currently seeking a quality controller for our client based in the heart of Huddersfield.
The overall purpose of the position is to ensure any customer and internal complaints are dealt with in a timely manner and in line with the Company's quality standards and procedures.
Duties to include, but is not exhaustive of :-
- Be the first point of contact when dealing with any customer issues or queries
- Creating rework job cards for internal and customer issues
- Record and follow rework job cards
- Fulfil the CAPA (corrective and preventative actions) requirements and investigate to the root cause of the problem
- Liaise with Supervisors, Managers and Directors
- Read and understand drawings, job pack instructions and customers' specifications
- Complete weekly and monthly analysis for data collection
- Complete Certificates of Conformity, if required
- Complete customer's non-conformance reports, when required
- Report any errors or major discrepancies to the SHEQ Manager / Technical Director immediately so corrective actions can be taken
- Accountable for accepting responsibility for quality aspects and actively participating in quality efforts and supporting the Quality Policy
- Discuss the inspection results with the SHEQ Manager / Technical Director
- Responsible in maintaining compliance with the Quality Management System
- Computer literacy is essential
- Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment by following safety policies and procedures and by reporting any safety concerns.
- Experience in sheet metal manufacturing would be an advantage
