Job Title: Exterior Engineer (Jnr + Snr)

Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required: - Bachelors degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-10 years of experience in exterior or structural design within the shipbuilding or marine industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software, hydrodynamic simulation tools, and structural analysis programs.
- Location Requirement: Candidates should either be South African residents currently living in the Netherlands or South Africans willing to relocate to the Netherlands.
- Fluency in Afrikaans (both written and spoken).
Beneficial requirements: - Knowledge of maritime regulations and standards for vessel construction and safety.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Design and develop the exterior surfaces and structures of vessels, ensuring hydrodynamic performance, durability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to integrate aesthetic, functional, and structural requirements for vessel exteriors.
- Conduct simulations and tests to assess the performance of hull designs and materials in various environmental conditions.
- Oversee material selection for exterior components to ensure resistance to corrosion, environmental wear, and mechanical stress.
- Ensure all designs comply with safety and regulatory requirements, coordinating approvals as necessary.
