Requirements:
- Matric certificate.
- SAMTRAC qualification, registered with SAIOSH as a Technical Member.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Health and Safety Officer.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Working hours: 07:00 - 17:00 and weekend work when required.
Responsibilities:
- In-depth knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
- Ensure workplace compliance with health and safety standards.
- Promote and foster a strong health and safety culture.
- Draft, implement, and maintain safety procedures and policies.
- Monitor work processes to identify unsafe practices and recommend improvements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and prevent recurrence.
- Provide health and safety training to employees.
- Conduct toolbox talks to raise safety awareness.
- Review and approve sub-contractor health and safety files.
- Submit monthly reports and statistics on health and safety performance.
