Mental Health Social Worker | Leicester | £34 per hour | Hybrid Working | Immediate Interviews
Caritas Recruitment is looking for an experienced Mental Health Social Worker to join a busy team based in Leicester.
This is a high-pressure, extremely fast-paced service working with adults with complex mental health conditions. The successful Social Worker will need to be confident managing risk, progressing complex cases and moving cases through to closure on a weekly basis.
The manager is looking for someone with strong statutory Mental Health experience who can hit the ground running from day one.
The role will include:
Managing a complex Mental Health caseload
Completing Section 117 reviews and associated work
Working with individuals with personality disorders and EOPD
Complex risk assessment and risk management
Progressing cases efficiently and achieving regular case closures
Attending Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) meetings
Attending Clinical Cabinet
Completing Mental Capacity Act (MCA) assessments
Undertaking Court of Protection (COP) work
Working collaboratively with health and other multidisciplinary professionals
Maintaining high-quality, timely case recording and statutory documentation
About you:
Ideally, you will have significant experience working within a Mental Health Social Work team, with particularly strong knowledge of Section 117, complex mental health needs, personality disorders and risk management.
Applications will also be considered from experienced Social Workers with strong transferable skills from Learning Disabilities or Adult Safeguarding services, provided you can demonstrate the ability to manage complex cases and work effectively in a demanding environment.
You will need to be:
An experienced, qualified Social Worker
Social Work England registered
Confident working autonomously with complex Mental Health cases
Experienced in s.117 work
Knowledgeable around the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Court of Protection processes
Highly organised and able to prioritise effectively
Comfortable working at pace and progressing cases quickly
Able to start contributing immediately with minimal support

£34 per hour
