Fabrication Welder – MIG / Steel Fabrication

Salary: £34,320 – £39,520 per annum, depending on experience

We're currently recruiting for an experienced Fabrication Welder to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing company based in Chesterfield.
This is an excellent permanent opportunity for someone with a strong background in steel fabrication and MIG welding, who can produce high-quality work and confidently work from engineering drawings.
The business is looking for a skilled fabricator who takes pride in their workmanship and is looking for a long-term opportunity within an established engineering environment.
The Role
Fabricating and welding a variety of structural steel components.
Carrying out MIG welding to a high standard.
Working with mild steel and various steel sections.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Measuring, cutting, preparing and assembling steel components.
Producing accurate fabrications to required specifications.
Inspecting finished work to ensure quality standards are met.
Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment.
Requirements
Previous experience in steel fabrication is essential.
Strong MIG welding experience.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience measuring, cutting and assembling steelwork.
Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, hardworking and committed to producing quality work.
