Catering Assistant – Derby
Location: Oakwood, Derby,
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–2:30pm
Start Date: Immediate
We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to work within a school setting in the Oakwood area of Derby.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and has a positive, hands-on approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals.
Supporting the kitchen team with daily catering duties.
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Washing up and keeping kitchen areas tidy.
Following food hygiene and health and safety procedures.
Requirements:
Previous catering or kitchen experience is desirable.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
Food Hygiene Certificate desirable.
This position is available for an immediate start.
All applicants must be willing to complete The Supply Register's compliance process before starting work.
This includes:
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain a new DBS.
Minimum of two employer references covering the previous 24 months
Right to Work documentation.
Two proofs of address.
Proof of National Insurance.
Relevant employment gap references where required.
Overseas police checks where applicable.
Completion of mandatory online safeguarding and compliance training
