Pipefitter / Welder’s Mate – Water Treatment Project
Are you at the start of your career in pipefitting or welding and looking for hands-on site experience? Vorera is recruiting a Pipefitter / Welder’s Mate to support an experienced welder and pipefitter on a water treatment project in [location].
This is a great opportunity for someone new to the trade, such as an apprentice, trainee or recent college leaver, who wants to learn on a live industrial project.
What you’ll be doing

Supporting a skilled welder and pipefitter with pipework installation

Preparing materials, including cutting, grinding and cleaning pipe ahead of welding

Helping with the fit-up, alignment and installation of pipework, flanges and valves

Moving materials and tools safely around site

Keeping the work area clean, safe and organised

Following site safety rules, permits and method statements
What we’re looking for
-
An interest in pipefitting, welding or mechanical work

Some experience as a mate, labourer, apprentice or trainee (helpful but not essential)

Any welding or fabrication training, such as a college course or NVQ (an advantage)
-
A reliable, hardworking attitude and willingness to learn

Good awareness of health and safety

A CSCS card is desirable
