The role
As a Retail Sales Assistant, you’ll use the customer service and sales skills you’d use on any shop floor, but at events rather than in a store. If you enjoy talking to customers and getting that buzz from making a sale, you’ll fit right in.
What you’ll do
- Welcome customers and start friendly conversations at events and event locations
- Use your retail sales skills to explain products and help customers choose
- Build rapport quickly and deliver excellent customer service
- Turn interest into sales and work towards daily sales goals as a team
- Travel with the team to events across Colchester and nearby areas
- Grow your sales, communication and customer service experience every day
What success looks like
- First few weeks: trained, out at events and making your first sales
- First few months: a confident Retail Sales Assistant hitting your stride
- Beyond that: ready for more responsibility as you progress
What our client is looking for
- You live in Colchester or within a commutable distance
- You’re available full time with an immediate start
- You enjoy working with people and have a positive, can-do attitude
- You have the right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available)
- Retail experience is great but not essential. If you’ve worked as a retail assistant, sales assistant, cashier, in hospitality, a call centre or any customer-facing role, you already have the skills to be a brilliant Retail Sales Assistant.
