Regional Executive - North East
Location: Teesside / North East

We're recruiting for an established organisation with a strong presence across the North East, looking to appoint a Regional Executive to play a key role in supporting businesses, assessing investment opportunities and contributing to economic growth across the region.
This is a varied and commercially focused position combining business finance, investment appraisal, stakeholder management, business development and operational leadership. You'll work closely with businesses across the region, understanding their plans, assessing commercial opportunities and helping organisations achieve sustainable growth.
The Role
Working alongside the Regional Manager, you will:
Identify, assess and appraise potential business investment opportunities
Meet with business owners, directors and professional advisers to understand business plans and funding requirements
Undertake financial and commercial due diligence
Prepare detailed investment proposals and recommendations
Assess both loan and equity-based investment opportunities
Monitor existing investments, identifying potential risks and opportunities
Build strong relationships with businesses and support them throughout their growth journey
Develop relationships with key regional stakeholders, including local authorities, development organisations and other partners
Promote the organisation across the region through networking, marketing and business development activity
Oversee the effective operation of regional business/workspace facilities
Deputise for the Regional Manager when requiredWhat We're Looking For
You'll be commercially minded, naturally inquisitive and confident getting under the skin of a business to understand its financial position, strategy and future potential.
Ideally, you will bring:
Strong commercial and financial acumen
Experience analysing businesses, financial information and business plans
An understanding of investment, lending, banking, accountancy or wider business finance
Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
Strong report writing and communication skills
Business development, networking or commercial relationship management experience
Good knowledge of the North East regional economy
Experience supporting SMEs or growing businesses would be particularly beneficial
A relevant finance or business qualification would be advantageous, although candidates with strong relevant experience will also be consideredAbove all, you'll be passionate about supporting businesses, creating opportunities and making a positive impact across the North East.
