Multi Trades Recruitment is looking for Experienced Carpenters / Joiners to begin work for a well-established social housing maintenance company covering South Manchester and surrounding areas.
About the Role:

Working Hours – Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5pm (Sporadic on call rota)

Pay Rate – £25.00 per hour

Duration – Up to 8 years contract for the right candidate

Location – South Manchester - Altrincham, Wythenshawe, Cheadle, Wilmslow and surrounding areas

Start Date – Early December 2026
Brief Role Description –
We are looking for experienced Carpenters / Joiners to carry out reactive maintenance and repair works across occupied and void social housing properties.
Duties will include:

Installing and repairing internal and external doors, frames and ironmongery.

Second-fix joinery, including skirting boards, architraves and boxing-in.
-
Kitchen fitting, including units, worktops and associated joinery.
-
Repairing and replacing damaged floorboards and timber structures.
-
Installing and repairing locks, hinges, handles and door closers.
-
General carpentry repairs across occupied and void properties.
-
Completing reactive maintenance jobs across multiple properties.
-
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.

Following all health & safety procedures.
Vehicle Arrangements:

Company van and fuel card can be provided.
-
Alternatively, operatives can use their own van with fuel costs reimbursed.
About You:
-
Qualified / time-served Carpenter / Joiner.

Valid CSCS card required.
-
Valid DBS ideally (can be obtained before start).

Previous social housing / reactive maintenance experience preferred.
-
Experienced working in occupied and void properties.
-
Full UK driving licence required.
-
Own tools required.
-
Good attention to detail and quality of finish.

Able to work independently across multiple properties.
-
Punctual and reliable.
