Production Planner
Location: Gloucester and Swindon
Salary: £50,000 to £52,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent
Experienced Production Planner? Know your way around an MRP system and enjoy bringing order to a busy manufacturing environment?
We're working with a growing advanced manufacturing business developing innovative composite technologies for aerospace, defence and automotive applications.
They're looking for an experienced Production Planner to take ownership of production scheduling, materials planning and capacity management across two manufacturing facilities.
This isn't a role where you'll simply maintain an existing schedule. There's a genuine opportunity to improve planning processes, get more from the ERP system and make a real difference to manufacturing performance.
What you'll be doing:
-
Managing the master production schedule across two manufacturing sites.
-
Planning manufacturing capacity, materials, labour and equipment requirements.
-
Raising production works orders and maintaining accurate manufacturing schedules.
-
Improving ERP and MRP data, including bills of materials, routings, lead times and work centres.
-
Coordinating stock control, inventory management and material availability.
-
Working closely with Production, Purchasing, Engineering and Quality to resolve shortages and scheduling conflicts.
What we're looking for:
-
Proven production planning or manufacturing scheduling experience.
-
Strong working knowledge of ERP and MRP systems.
-
Experience with BOMs, manufacturing routings and capacity planning.
-
Good understanding of materials planning, inventory control and stock accuracy.
-
Confidence working with manufacturing teams and managing competing priorities.
-
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between Gloucester and Swindon.
Experience with SYSPRO would be a real advantage, although it's not essential. A background in aerospace, defence, automotive or precision manufacturing would also be particularly relevant.
What's on offer?
-
Salary of £50,000 to £52,000 depending on experience.
-
Private healthcare.
-
Company pension scheme.
-
Employee share options.
-
Opportunity to work on innovative aerospace and defence manufacturing programmes.
-
A genuine opportunity to shape and improve production planning processes as the business grows.
The bottom line?
If you're a Production Planner who enjoys solving problems, improving systems and making manufacturing run more efficiently, we'd like to hear from you.
