Ready to build a career in engineering and machinery safety?
We’re recruiting on behalf of an established, highly respected machinery safety and compliance specialist, working with major blue-chip clients across the UK, Europe and beyond.
We’re looking for a motivated, technically curious individual who wants to learn, develop specialist expertise and build a long-term career in an industry offering variety, responsibility and opportunities to progress.
As a Machinery Safety Assessor, you’ll visit client sites, assess machinery against relevant safety standards, identify non-compliances and produce detailed technical reports. You’ll also help clients understand machinery safety requirements, including PUWER and CE/UKCA marking.
Full training will be provided on the company’s bespoke assessment systems and internal procedures.
What are we looking for?
- A genuine interest in machinery, engineering or industrial safety.
- A willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
- The ability to work independently, manage your workload and use your initiative.
- Confidence to ask questions and seek guidance when needed.
- Strong communication, organisation and report-writing skills.
- A proactive attitude towards learning, including a willingness to further your industry knowledge in your own time.
- Flexibility to travel throughout the UK and overseas - 2 out of 4 weeks of the month you will be travelling and away from home
- Ideally, a full UK driving licence to support travel to client sites.
Electrical knowledge or experience in electrical, mechanical engineering, maintenance or manufacturing would be advantageous, but is not essential. Enthusiasm, initiative and a commitment to learning are key.
What's on offer?
- Opportunities to travel across the UK, Europe and potentially worldwide - you will be travelling for 2 of the 4 weeks of the month, approximately 50% on the road
- Scope to progress in different directions within the business.
- Full training and development of specialist technical skills.
- A varied role combining site visits, practical assessments and technical reporting.
- The opportunity to work with major clients in a specialist, established industry.
