About the role
We are looking for a practical, organised and tech-minded individual to join the team (of a highly successful construction company) as a Business Systems & IT Coordinator.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining day-to-day IT support with opportunities to improve business systems, introduce new technology and explore how AI can help the business work smarter.
You will be the first point of contact for IT queries, helping colleagues resolve issues, managing user accounts and equipment, and working with external IT suppliers. You will also work with teams across the business to identify improvements, support internal systems and help colleagues get the most from the technology available to them.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career across IT, business systems, cyber security and emerging technologies.
Key responsibilities
● Provide first-line IT support to colleagues, resolving issues with computers, software, accounts, networks and equipment.
● Set up IT equipment and accounts for new starters and manage access for leavers.
● Manage laptops, mobiles, software licences, Microsoft 365 accounts and IT stock.
● Liaise with external IT suppliers and coordinate hardware purchases, repairs and support requests.
● Help maintain network security, device compliance and Cyber Essentials requirements.
● Identify opportunities to improve business processes through better systems, automation and AI.
● Support the testing, development and improvement of internal systems and digital tools.
● Help colleagues adopt new technology through guidance, training and practical support.
● Assist with IT documentation, quality standards and compliance requirements.
About you
We are looking for someone who is:
● IT-literate, with knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365.
● A natural problem-solver who enjoys finding practical solutions.
● Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.
● Confident communicating with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
● Interested in technology, business improvement, automation and AI.
● Hands-on, adaptable and keen to learn new skills.
● Trustworthy and comfortable handling confidential information.
Experience with Microsoft Intune, networking or cyber security would be beneficial, but training and support will be available.
A full UK driving licence and the ability to travel to company sites when required are essential.
Development opportunities
This role offers the opportunity to grow into a key position within the business, taking on increasing responsibility for business systems, technology projects and digital improvement. Relevant training and professional development will be supported, including opportunities to develop skills in cyber security, automation and AI
