Warehouse Operative – Container Unloading & Palletising
Location: Bradford
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm

Novara People is currently recruiting reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operatives for an established furniture distribution business in Bradford. This is a physically active role involving the unloading of shipping containers and palletising furniture stock, with items weighing up to 25kg.
About the Role
You will work as part of a warehouse team to unload containers safely and efficiently, ensuring furniture and boxed stock is handled carefully and prepared for storage or onward movement. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, so a positive attitude and good work ethic are essential.
Key Duties
• Unloading furniture and boxed goods from shipping containers safely and efficiently
• Lifting, carrying and stacking items weighing up to 25kg
• Palletising boxes and preparing stock for storage or dispatch
• Checking goods for damage and reporting any issues to the supervisor
• Keeping the warehouse, container area and workspaces clean, tidy and organised
• Following manual handling, health and safety procedures at all times
• Working closely with colleagues to meet daily unloading and palletising targets
• Assisting with general warehouse duties as required
Skills:
• Physically fit and comfortable with regular heavy lifting and manual handling
• Reliable, punctual and able to commit to full-time hours
• Happy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding warehouse environment
• A strong team player with a positive, can-do attitude
• Good attention to detail and care when handling stock
• Previous warehouse, container unloading or manual handling experience is desirable, although full training can be provided
