Location: Colne BB8 8LB
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour
Hours: 47.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday + every 3rd Saturday
Start Time: 6:00am
Start Date: ASAP

We are currently looking for an experienced Load Shovel Operator to join a leading waste management operation in Colne.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled operator to secure ongoing work with an established and reputable employer.
Immediate availability is preferred.
Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a loading shovel for the processing and loading of recyclable materials.

Load, move, and process waste and recyclable materials safely and efficiently.

Carry out daily machinery and equipment checks and report any defects.

Ensure waste is loaded correctly and safely.

Promptly clear any spillages and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Operate machinery responsibly while following all Health & Safety procedures.

Support with weighbridge administration duties when required.

Work effectively as part of the wider waste management team.
Requirements Essential

Valid Load Shovel licence/certificate.

Previous experience operating a loading shovel.

Good level of spoken and written English.

Ability to follow Health & Safety procedures and safe systems of work.

Reliable and responsible approach to work.

Immediate availability preferred.
