Prepare estimates and quotations for tender submissions across foundation, battery storage and solar projects.
-
Review technical drawings, layouts and enquiry documents, carrying out take-offs to establish quantities and pricing requirements.
-
Provide timely budget estimates for early-stage enquiries and prepare budgets for management approval.
-
Obtain up-to-date pricing from suppliers and subcontractors for materials, labour, plant, transport and other project costs.
-
Maintain accurate pricing information to ensure estimates reflect current market rates.
-
Produce weekly and monthly quotation reports and keep CRM records updated.
-
Track budgets against live projects, working alongside the Projects team as work progresses into delivery.
-
Support the sales team with client follow-ups when required.
What we’re looking for
-
2–5 years’ estimating or pricing experience within construction, engineering or a related industry.
-
Confidence reading and interpreting technical drawings and layouts, including carrying out take-offs.
-
Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
-
The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
-
A methodical approach, confidence working with numbers and a proactive attitude.
-
A collaborative approach, with the motivation to develop your skills and progress your career.
Desirable experience:
-
Background in groundworks, piling, steelwork or renewable energy.
-
Experience obtaining and negotiating supplier or subcontractor rates.
-
Familiarity with CRM systems, ideally HubSpot.
-
A relevant HNC, HND or degree in construction, quantity surveying or a related discipline.
-
A full UK driving licence.
What’s on offer?
-
Salary of £32,000–£36,000, depending on experience.
-
A clear progression path towards Senior Estimator, with structured reviews at 3, 6 and 12 months.
-
Training in company products, pricing structures and systems, with support towards further qualifications.
-
Hybrid working, with one day a week from home.
