About the role
Are you a confident B2B sales professional who enjoys building customer relationships, spotting commercial opportunities and helping customers make informed decisions? We’re looking for a Sales Executive to join our Retentions team and play a key role in retaining and renewing customers across the UK non-household water market.
In this role, you’ll focus on supporting small and medium-sized organisations as they review, renew or update their contracts with Business Stream. You’ll be speaking with customers to understand their needs, provide clear and accurate information, present the value of staying with us and identify opportunities to support existing customers with additional sites or services where this would benefit them and the business.
It’s a fast-paced, target-driven role where you’ll balance great customer service with a commercial mindset, helping to protect and grow our existing customer base. You’ll manage renewal activity, support sales campaigns, keep accurate records and work closely with colleagues across the business to make sure customers receive a smooth, positive experience from initial conversation through to contract completion.
About you
We’re looking for someone who is confident, commercially aware and motivated by delivering a great customer experience. You’ll be a strong fit for this role if you have:
-
Experience in a sales or customer-focused role, ideally within a B2B, utilities or regulated environment.
-
A target-focused approach, with the ability to balance commercial goals with great customer outcomes.
-
Confidence having meaningful conversations with customers and building positive relationships.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
-
Good organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage workload, deadlines and KPIs.
-
A proactive, team-focused mindset and a willingness to take ownership of your work.
Experience with Microsoft Office and CRM systems such as Salesforce or Dynamics would be helpful, but what matters most is your drive, resilience and ability to create positive customer relationships.
What’s in it for you?
You’ll be a key team player in one of the largest water retailers in the UK, with lots of benefits and the chance to grow your career.
-
Salary up to £28,660 plus bonus up to 10%
-
Attractive pension plan
-
Monday to Friday based in our office within Edinburgh Park.
-
31 days annual leave and six bank holidays
-
Subsidised staff restaurant and free gym membership
-
Employee discounts
