About the Opportunity Part-time Speech and Language Therapist
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Part-time Speech and Language Therapist to provide support to children within school settings across London.
This is a flexible, part-time contracting opportunity working with a specialist children's therapy provider, supporting children with speech, language and communication needs and helping them develop the skills they need to thrive in their educational environment.
The work is expected to be based primarily around the Barbican area, with potential opportunities in W1 and Gunnersbury, depending on school requirements.
This role could suit an independent therapist looking to build their private caseload, take on additional school-based work or enjoy greater flexibility through a contractor arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
Assess children's speech, language and communication needs.
Deliver tailored therapy and interventions within school settings.
Support children with communication, language development and social interaction.
Develop individualised strategies to support progress in the classroom.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents and other professionals.
Provide recommendations and practical strategies to help staff support children's communication needs.
Monitor progress and adapt intervention plans according to individual needs.
What We're Looking For
A qualified Speech and Language Therapist.
HCPC registration.
Experience working with children in paediatric, educational or school-based settings.
Strong assessment, intervention and communication skills.
The ability to work independently and manage a flexible contractor caseload.
