Construction Administrator – Main Contractor
Location: Loughton, Essex
Salary: Up to £30,000, depending on experience

The Opportunity
An established main contractor is looking to recruit an organised and proactive Construction Administrator to join its head office team in Loughton.
This is an excellent opportunity for an administrator with previous construction industry experience to join a busy and growing business, providing essential administrative support to the wider team and helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the office.
Previous experience within the construction industry is essential for this position. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a construction environment, managing documentation, coordinating information and supporting colleagues across the business.
This is a full-time, permanent position based entirely in the company's Loughton head office, five days a week.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the head office team.
Maintain and organise project documentation, records and filing systems.
Assist with the preparation, formatting and distribution of reports, correspondence and other documents.
Manage incoming emails, telephone calls and general office enquiries.
Support the team with the administration of purchase orders, invoices and other financial documentation.
Assist with the preparation and organisation of subcontractor documentation and compliance records.
Maintain accurate databases, spreadsheets and document registers.
Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and other external contacts to obtain and share information.
Help coordinate meetings, appointments and general office requirements.
Ensure documentation is accurately recorded, filed and readily accessible.
Provide general administrative support to ensure the efficient running of the business.
The Ideal Candidate
Previous administrative experience within the construction industry is essential.
Experience working for a main contractor, subcontractor or construction-related business would be advantageous.
Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
A professional, proactive and reliable approach to work.
Comfortable working as part of a team in a busy office environment.
Able to work full-time from the Loughton head office, five days per week.
