Stores Person
£12.80 per hour, Burgess Hill, Monday to Thursday 7:00am to 3:45pm, Friday 7:00am to 11:30am, Permanent, 28 days holiday plus paid Christmas shutdown, BUPA healthcare after probation
The Role
A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Stores Person to join a well-established manufacturing company based in the centre of Burgess Hill. Working within the stores team, the Stores Person will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement, control and organisation of stock, supporting production operations and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Receiving and booking in goods inwards
Locating and organising stock within the stores area
Kitting materials against production requirements
Processing and posting material requisitions
Issuing shortages to production teams
Managing requisition requests
Carrying out perpetual stock checks and inventory control
Packing completed assemblies, kits and panels for despatch
Maintaining accurate stores records using computer systems
Ensuring excellent housekeeping standards throughout the stores department
Requirements
The successful Stores Person will be computer literate with strong numeracy and literacy skills. A good command of the English language is highly desirable, along with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues across the business. Experience within a manufacturing, warehouse or stores environment is desirable. Candidates should demonstrate a careful and thorough approach to work, excellent organisational abilities, the capacity to prioritise tasks effectively and a strong work ethic. Previous stock control, goods-in or inventory management experience would be highly desirable.
This role could suit someone who has worked as a Stores Operative, Warehouse Operative or Stock Controller.
