Arboricultural Consultant
Advance TRS is working with a growing environmental consultancy to recruit an Arboricultural Consultant to join its multidisciplinary team on a hybrid basis across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced arboricultural professional to work across a varied portfolio of projects, from smaller development schemes through to major infrastructure programmes, while developing their technical and consultancy experience.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Undertaking tree surveys and arboricultural assessments across a range of sites.
Delivering development surveys in accordance with BS5837:2012 and undertaking Visual Tree Assessments (VTA).
Preparing high-quality Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Arboricultural Method Statements.
Producing accurate, well-structured technical reports and supporting project documentation.
Liaising directly with clients, stakeholders and other environmental disciplines.
Supporting projects from initial survey through to completion.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across ecology, environmental assessment and other specialist teams.
Travelling to client sites across the UK, including occasional overnight stays.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
A Level 4 qualification in Arboriculture, or be actively working towards one.
Previous arboricultural consultancy or commercial experience.
Strong tree survey experience, including BS5837 development surveys and VTA.
Experience preparing Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Method Statements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Competence with Microsoft Office and arboricultural survey, GIS or CAD software.
Experience with tools such as CAVAT, TEMPO, THREATS, RAVEN or iTree would be advantageous.
A collaborative and proactive approach, with the ability to manage work in a fast-paced consultancy environment.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance.
