This role has a starting salary of £31,659 per annum, based on a 36-hour working week.
This is a permanent contract within the Surrey Fire and Rescue Community Safety Partnership Team.
The team is based at Woodhatch Place in Reigate and focuses on the implementation of domestic fire safety and fire prevention within our communities. The role will be based primarily at Woodhatch Place, although it may involve working at a variety of locations across Surrey and collaborating with other Fire and Rescue Services. The role forms part of Surrey County Council's agile working approach.

As an Administration Assistant within the Partnership Team, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of domestic fire safety and prevention activity across Surrey.
Organising and allocating Safe and Well Visits received from partner agencies to Partnership Officers, Partnership Leads and operational crews across Surrey.
Acting as a first point of contact for members of the public and partner agencies, responding to telephone and written enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
Supporting the use of internal systems used to record and manage Safe and Well Visits.
Monitoring activity and producing reports for colleagues and senior leaders within SFRS.
Supporting the wider Partnership Team and operational crews with a variety of administrative queries and tasks.
Working closely with Adult Social Care and other partner agencies to help ensure people who may be particularly vulnerable receive appropriate fire safety support.Prevention is at the heart of Surrey Fire and Rescue Service, and this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on community safety. Through strong organisation, communication and partnership working, you will help ensure vulnerable residents receive the right advice and support, enabling our teams to deliver effective interventions that help people stay safe in their homes.
Over the next 12 to 18 months, you will support the continued delivery and development of Safe and Well Visits across Surrey. Working within the Partnership Team, you will help manage referrals efficiently, ensure accurate and timely information is shared with operational teams and partner agencies, and contribute to improving administrative processes, reporting and the effective use of internal systems to support prevention activity across the Service.

Local Government Reorganisation (LGR)
Surrey County Council is undergoing Local Government Reorganisation and will move to new authorities in April 2027. This role is currently employed by Surrey County Council and will remain so until then. If you are employed by Surrey County Council on 1 April 2027, your employment will transfer under TUPE arrangements to one of the new councils, with your current terms and conditions protected. The provisional allocation for this post is Combined Fire and Rescue Authority subject to final confirmation through the wider transition process later this year.
