Yard Operative (Vehicle Compound) - Stallingborough / Immingham
GI Group Grimsby are recruiting a Yard Operative for an ongoing, full-time role based at a busy vehicle compound in the Stallingborough / Immingham area. This is a great opportunity for someone confident working outdoors and happy with a hands-on yard role.
Key duties include:
Moving/relocating vehicles safely around the vehicle compound
Checking vehicles for damage and reporting issues at first instance
Using a handheld terminal scanner (full training provided)
Supporting yard operations and general compound organisation
Progressing into load lane pulling as you become experienced in the role
Walking is involved in the role
Hours, Pay & Overtime
Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturdays in peak periods
(Apply online only) and (Apply online only) rotating weekly
£12.91 per hour
Saturday (after 40 hours): £19.37 per hour (time and a half)
Sunday (after 40 hours): £25.82 per hour
Requirements;
Must hold a FULL UK Manual Driving Licence
Held for 2+ years
22 years of age and over
Comfortable working with Manual, Electric and Automatic transmissions
3-6 points minimum on driving licence can be accepted, subject to endorsement code

Comfortable working in an outdoor yard environment
Strong attention to detail when checking vehicles for damage
Reliable, safety-conscious and able to follow site processes
Happy to learn new systems (scanner training provided)
