We are currently recruiting for a Town Planner to join an established and respected planning consultancy based in Kent.
This is an excellent opportunity for a planner looking to develop their career within a supportive consultancy environment, gaining exposure to a broad range of planning projects and working closely with clients, developers and local planning authorities.
Requirements
Degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline
Previous experience within a planning consultancy or local authority
Good understanding of the UK planning system and relevant planning policy
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
Commercial awareness and a client-focused approach
Ideally working towards or interested in achieving MRTPI status
Full UK driving licence would be advantageousResponsibilities
Preparing and submitting planning applications
Providing planning advice to clients
Undertaking planning appraisals and research
Assisting with planning strategies and development proposals
Liaising with local planning authorities and other stakeholders
Supporting senior planners on larger and more complex projects
Monitoring planning applications and providing clients with regular updates
Assisting with appeals and other planning matters where required
