Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications.
Supporting planning appraisals and site assessments.
Undertaking research into planning policy, legislation and local planning matters.
Assisting with planning statements, reports and other supporting documentation.
Monitoring planning applications and liaising with local planning authorities.
Supporting consultants with pre-application enquiries and planning negotiations.
Assisting with planning appeals and development plan representations.
Carrying out research into development opportunities and planning constraintsRequirements for the role of Graduated Town Planner:
A degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, Geography, Urban Design or a related subject.
A genuine interest in the planning and development sector.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good research and analytical abilities.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
A professional and personable approach when dealing with clients and stakeholders.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
