TeacherActive is proud to be working with an excellent Post 16 college in Mansfield, who are looking to appoint Learning Support Assistants. The college provides a positive and supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to develop their skills, confidence and independence.
The college is looking to take on Learning Support Assistants on an ongoing temporary basis, with opportunities for those keen to work within specialist LSA roles. The successful Learning Support Assistant will support Post 16 students, including those with Visual Impairment, Physical Development needs, Dyslexia or EBD, helping them to engage with their studies and access learning effectively.
The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:
• Experience working with young people in an education or support setting
• Experience or a keen interest in supporting students with Visual Impairment, Physical Development needs, Dyslexia or EBD
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient and supportive approach
• The ability to adapt support to individual student needs
• A positive ‘can-do’ attitude
