Relationship Support Officer - Income Generating Property (IGP)

About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Relationship Support Officer to join our Income Generating Property (IGP) team on a 12-month fixed-term basis, providing maternity cover.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous banking or financial services experience who enjoys working closely with relationship managers, clients and internal teams. You will play an important role in supporting the effective management of a client portfolio, helping to deliver a high standard of service while ensuring that documentation, account monitoring and credit processes are managed accurately and efficiently.
The successful candidate will develop a strong understanding of their allocated client portfolio, client requirements and a range of corporate, commercial and SME banking products.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Proposal Processing
Support the preparation of credit proposals for a range of facilities.
Review financial information, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow information.
Scrutinise supporting documentation, accounts and payment histories.
Ensure relevant information is complete, accurate and appropriately documented.Relationship & Client Support
Support Relationship Managers in servicing and managing existing client relationships.
Respond promptly and professionally to client telephone calls and emails.
Assist with resolving client queries and escalate matters where appropriate.
Attend client meetings or visits alongside the Relationship Manager where required.
Prepare accurate client call reports and maintain appropriate records.Analysis & Documentation
Monitor client accounts, business volumes, credit movements and outstanding requirements.
Monitor the receipt of payments and ensure relevant facility documentation remains up to date.
Follow up on outstanding or overdue documentation and payments.
Monitor upcoming due dates and support the timely retirement of outstanding items.
Assist with facility renewals and the maintenance of supporting documentation, including insurance policies, stock reports and valuation information.
Provide regular updates to the Senior Relationship Manager on the performance of allocated accounts.Internal Coordination
Work proactively with Operations, Credit and other internal teams to meet approved client requirements.
Act as a key point of coordination for interdepartmental client servicing queries.
Build effective working relationships across the wider business to ensure a smooth and responsive service.
About You
We are looking for someone who is commercially aware, organised and confident dealing with clients and colleagues at all levels.
You will ideally have:
A university degree or equivalent qualification.
Approximately 2 years' experience within banking or financial services.
An understanding of financial products and banking operations.
Experience or knowledge of financial analysis and credit-related documentation.
A working understanding of legal documentation, property insurance documents and valuation reports.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and database systems, together with confident internet usage.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
A collaborative and team-focused approach.
The ability to work professionally and effectively in a regulated financial services environment.Bilingual skills in English and Urdu and/or Punjabi would be advantageous.

Important Regulatory Information
This role is a support position and is not classified as a Senior Manager Function or Certified Person under the applicable regulatory regime. The successful candidate will therefore not undertake regulated activities such as advising on or approving financial products, credit facilities, loans, mortgages or treasury transactions.
The successful candidate will also be expected to uphold the required regulatory and professional standards, including acting with integrity, due skill, care and diligence, treating customers fairly and maintaining appropriate standards of market conduct.
