TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Chelmsford supporting children and young people aged 3-19. The school provides a supportive learning environment for pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties / SLD and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties / PMLD.
The school is looking to take on a SEND LSA, with a mixture of part-time and full-time opportunities available across varying contract lengths. The successful SEND LSA will support pupils with SLD and PMLD with their learning, communication, personal development and day-to-day needs while helping to create a safe and positive environment.
The successful SEND LSA will have:
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Experience working with SLD and/or PMLD is desirable
• Experience providing one-to-one or small group support
• A patient, caring and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to adapt support to meet individual needs
