Search are supporting the recruitment of a Payroll Officer in Stirling on a part-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional seeking a flexible part-time role within a supportive and established team.
You'll play a key role in ensuring payroll is processed accurately, efficiently and in line with current legislation, while acting as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers across the business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and within agreed deadlines
- Managing starters, leavers and contractual changes
- Checking payroll data and resolving discrepancies
- Processing statutory payments, deductions and pension contributions
- Maintaining accurate and confidential payroll records
- Responding to payroll queries from employees and managers
- Supporting payroll reconciliations and reporting requirements
- Ensuring payroll activities comply with legislation and internal procedures
- Providing general payroll administration and support to the wider team
Skills and experience that will benefit your application:
- Previous payroll experience, ideally processing weekly and monthly payrolls
- Demonstrable understanding of HMRC requirements, statutory deductions and pension administration
- Experience carrying out payroll reconciliations and maintaining controls
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to manage payroll queries professionally
- Comfortable using payroll and HR systems
- Payroll qualification or equivalent payroll experience beneficial
