The vehicle service advisor at this dealership plays a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service, supporting the workshop team, and ensuring seamless communication between customers and the workshop. Paid overtime for Saturday work on a rota basisDuties of a Service Advisor:
Welcome customers into the service department and efficiently book their vehicles for repairs and maintenance
Liaise extensively with the workshop team to chase work in progress and update customers on repair status
Upsell additional products and services where appropriate
Advise customers on minor technical issues and promote service plans to enhance customer satisfaction
Take payments for completed work accurately and efficiently
Maintain high standards of customer care and foster positive relationships
Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards and warranty procedures where applicableRequirements of a Service Advisor:
Previous experience as a service advisor or similar role within the automotive industry is highly desirable
Strong communication and organisational skills
IT proficiency, with preferred experience in Pinewood Pinnacle or similar dealership management systems
Customer service-oriented attitude, with an understanding of vehicle mechanics advantageous
Ability to influence and advise customers effectively
Knowledge of warranty procedures and liaising with vehicle manufacturers is beneficial but not essential
