We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading UK automotive tyre and fast-fit centre group, for an experienced MOT Tester to join their busy Trowbridge centre. Starting salary from £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience

41.5-hour work week, Monday to Friday

Conduct MOT tests in strict accordance with Government standards and regulations
Provide exceptional customer service by explaining results, repairs needed, and reasons for testing outcomes
Support customers through the process and foster long-lasting relationships
Identify and diagnose vehicle issues, supporting the team with repair and service work where applicable
Maintain accurate records of inspections and communicate effectively with workshop colleagues
Ensure the workshop operates efficiently and in compliance with safety standards
Support the workshop team with additional duties as requiredRequirements of a MOT Tester:
Hold an active Class 4 and 7 MOT testing licence
Possess a UK driving licence with minimal points
Ideally qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent
Alternatively, extensive vehicle mechanic experience with an active MOT licence
Excellent communication skills and team-oriented attitude
