Personal Assistant - Construction
Location: Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire
Full-time | Permanent | Office-based, 5 days per week
We are looking for an experienced Personal Assistant to join a busy and established construction business based in Bishop's Stortford.
This is a key support role, working closely with the Operations Manager and providing high-level administrative, organisational and day-to-day PA support.
We are specifically looking for someone who has previous experience within the construction industry and understands the fast-paced nature of working within a construction environment.
The Role
As Personal Assistant, you will provide comprehensive support to the Operations Manager, helping to keep the day-to-day operation organised, efficient and running smoothly.
This is a varied role that will require someone who is highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities at once.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing full PA and administrative support to the Operations Manager
Managing a busy diary, arranging meetings and coordinating appointments
Organising and preparing meetings, including agendas and documentation
Managing correspondence, emails and telephone calls
Preparing documents, reports, presentations and other business information
Taking minutes and following up on actions where required
Coordinating internal and external communications
Assisting with the organisation and management of projects and operational tasks
Maintaining accurate records and documentation
Managing confidential and commercially sensitive information
Coordinating with clients, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders
Assisting with general operational administration
Helping to ensure deadlines and key actions are followed up
Providing wider administrative support to the senior management team when requiredAbout You
We are looking for an experienced PA who is confident working in a construction or built-environment environment.
You will need to be comfortable dealing with senior people, managing competing priorities and taking ownership of your workload without needing constant direction.

Calm under pressure and capable of managing last-minute changes
Experienced with Microsoft Office and general business systemsEssential Experience
Previous experience within the construction industry is essential.

Business Support Manager
Office Manager
PA to a Director, Operations Manager or senior construction professionalExperience within a main contractor, fit-out contractor, interiors business, subcontractor, developer, construction consultancy or related construction organisation would be highly relevant.
You should already understand the terminology, pace and demands of the construction industry and be comfortable dealing with contractors, clients, suppliers and senior management.
Location
This is a fully office-based role, 5 days per week, from offices in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire.
Candidates must therefore be able to commute comfortably to Bishop's Stortford on a daily basis.
