Working Hours: 1 week rotation – Mornings (Monday to Friday - 6am until 2:30pm) and Nights (Monday to Thursday - 6pm until 4am)
Role Overview
My client is seeking an experienced CNC Turner (Setter/Operator) to join their team in Sheffield. As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for the precision machining of high-integrity components to meet stringent customer and industry requirements. The role involves working with high-performance and exotic materials, producing components to tight tolerances, and ensuring all work complies with company quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Manufacture precision components in line with engineering drawings and customer specifications

Set up and operate Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes and related machining equipment safely and efficiently

Work within company quality systems and procedures to ensure full compliance

Interpret complex engineering drawings and translate them into finished machined parts

Machine high-grade and difficult materials, including Inconel 718 and similar alloys

Maintain high housekeeping standards to ensure a safe, clean, and organised work area

Meet agreed production times while maintaining quality and accuracy standards

Select appropriate tooling, feeds, and speeds to achieve optimal machining performance

Support continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, and workshop practices
