Here at Wisbech, we have a team of 525 colleagues and manufacture premium chilled ready to cook meals for major retailers such as Sainsbury's, Aldi and Co-op.
What you'll be doing:
As a Quality Assurance (QA), you will play an important role in ensuring our products are manufactured safely, legally and to the required quality standards. Working closely with Production and Technical teams, you will complete quality checks throughout the manufacturing process and help ensure our products consistently meet both Greencore and customer requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out routine quality and food safety checks across production areas.
Checking products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they meet the required quality, weight, appearance and specification standards.
Completing regular GMP and hygiene checks to ensure standards are maintained across the factory.
Monitoring and recording key quality information accurately and ensuring all required documentation is completed correctly.
Identifying and reporting any quality or food safety issues and escalating concerns to the appropriate teams.
Working closely with Production, Technical and Hygiene teams to investigate and resolve quality issues.
Supporting checks relating to product specifications, labelling, packaging and traceability.
Ensuring procedures relating to HACCP, food safety, quality and Health & Safety are followed at all times.
Supporting investigations into quality issues and helping identify appropriate corrective actions.
Completing product sampling and quality assessments when required.
Providing guidance and support to Production colleagues on quality and food safety standards.
Supporting internal audits, customer visits and other Technical activities when required.
Helping promote a strong food safety and quality culture across the site.
Supporting continuous improvement activities to help improve quality standards and reduce issues within production.
What we're looking for:
To be successful in this role, we're looking for someone who:
Ideally has previous experience within a food manufacturing, Quality Assurance or Technical environment.
Has a good understanding of food safety, quality standards and GMP.
Has strong attention to detail and can identify when something doesn't meet the required standard.
Is confident completing checks, paperwork and accurate records.
Is comfortable working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Has good communication skills and is confident raising concerns when standards aren't being met.
Can work effectively with Production, Technical, Hygiene and other departments.
Is organised and able to manage different priorities throughout the shift.
Has a positive and proactive approach to food safety and quality.
Is comfortable using computer systems and completing documentation.
Is willing to learn and develop their knowledge within the Technical and Quality function.
