An established electrical contractor is looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team in Guildford.

The successful candidate will be responsible for pricing a variety of electrical projects, producing accurate tenders and quotations, and working closely with clients, suppliers and the wider project team.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for electrical projects.
Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
Complete detailed take-offs and calculate labour, materials and plant costs.
Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
Identify project requirements, risks and potential commercial opportunities.
Prepare tender submissions within required deadlines.
Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive and commercially viable.
Assist with handovers from estimating to the delivery team.
Maintain accurate records of tenders and pricing.
Attend site visits and tender meetings where required.
Build strong relationships with clients and suppliers.

Requirements

Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator within the construction or building services sector.
Strong understanding of electrical installations and associated materials.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
Experience with take-offs, pricing and tender preparation.
Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.
Competent with Microsoft Office and estimating software.
Relevant electrical qualification or industry background would be advantageous.
