Domestic Gas Operative
Salary: £44k - £46k
We are recruiting for a leading business who are looking to grow and strengthen their team due to growth.
We are looking for Commercial and Domestic Gas Operatives to join our client across South East London.
As part of a heating maintenance team, you will be expected to provide a comprehensive repairs and maintenance service to heating installations. You will be able to analyse and carry out repairs and services as well as be customer focused and carry out your work to a high standard in a professional manner in accordance with current regulation/legislation.
The Role:
Service, repair, maintenance, and installation of gas appliances and heating systems.
Ensure the correct resources and materials are supplied for each job.
Power flushing of heating systems.
Ensure the security and correct operation of plant equipment supplied.
Fault diagnosis.
Ensure all certification and documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with Data Protection.
Working with and training apprentices when needed. The Individual:
A sound knowledge of the industry.
High level of numeracy and literacy.
A methodical problem solver.
Ability to stay focused and have the mental concentration to follow a problem through to a satisfactory outcome.
Able to work as part of a team and independently.
Ability to deal with potentially angry or upset people and cope with the emotional demands the situation may cause.
Excellent communication skills.
Good timekeeper with ability to work to tight schedules and deadlines.
ACS Qualifications.
Certificate of Asbestos Awareness Training.
Full UK driver's license essential
