An established franchised dealership in Epsom needs a qualified MOT Tester who is equally happy handling routine servicing. You will work in a modern, well-equipped workshop. The team takes compliance and safety seriously and backs its technicians with ongoing training.
Key responsibilities
- Conducting MOT tests in line with DVSA requirements
- Recording test results and vehicle details accurately on the MOT system
- Carrying out routine servicing and maintenance to manufacturer standards
- Completing health checks and safety inspections
- Identifying defects and advising on necessary repairs or extra work
- Keeping MOT testing standards and compliance watertight
- Supporting the wider workshop and aftersales team when things get busy
- Keeping up with technical updates and changes to MOT rules
Essential requirements
- Currently qualified and eligible MOT Tester
- A relevant automotive qualification, ideally NVQ / City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Solid experience servicing and maintaining vehicles
- Good working knowledge of DVSA standards
- A full UK driving licence
- A careful, safety-first approach and strong attention to detail
- Reliable, professional and comfortable working alone or as part of a team
