Opportunity: Wills, Trusts & Estates Disputes Lawyer
Location: Bristol | Hybrid
Salary: Up to £90,000 + Bonus + Profit Share
If you're a Wills, Trusts & Estates Disputes lawyer who enjoys the interesting stuff and wants a role where there's room to grow, this could be your next move!
I'm working with a highly regarded international law firm with an established reputation across private wealth and contentious probate. The firm is recognised by Legal 500 for Contentious Trusts & Probate, with its specialists also receiving recognition through the Chambers High Net Worth Guide. It has built a strong reputation for handling complex, high value matters for individuals, families and professional clients.
The Bristol office is growing, and this is an opportunity to join at a really interesting point in that growth.
The Role:
You'll join a specialist Wills, Trusts & Estates Disputes practice dealing with a broad mix of contentious private wealth work, including:
Will validity and interpretation disputes
Inheritance Act claims
Trust disputes
Proprietary estoppel
Disputes involving executors, administrators and trustees
Beneficiary disputes
Estate administration disputes
Lifetime gift disputes
Professional negligence matters
The team works across both negotiation and litigation, taking a pragmatic approach to resolving disputes while having the experience to run matters through the courts where necessary. There is also the benefit of working alongside other specialist teams, including Private Client and International Law, where matters involve complex wealth structures or overseas assets.
Why It Is Worth a Look:
This isn't about joining a huge team and becoming another fee earner in the machine.
It's an opportunity to join a growing Bristol presence, work on interesting private wealth disputes and build your profile within a firm that has specialist expertise across the full private client lifecycle.
You'll have the support and resources of a multi-office, full-service firm but with the opportunity to make a real contribution as the Bristol team continues to develop.
And financially, there's plenty to like too: salary up to £90,000, plus bonus and profit share.
Who Are They Looking For?
You'll ideally be a lawyer with 4+ years' PQE and solid experience across Wills, Trusts and Estates Disputes/contentious probate.
More important than ticking every box is being someone who enjoys this area of work, is comfortable dealing directly with clients and wants to be part of a team that is building something rather than simply maintaining the status quo.
What You Will Get:
30 days' annual leave + bank holidays + birthday leave + Christmas leave
Private healthcare
Healthcare cashback plans for you and your family
Enhanced matched pension contribution
Option to buy additional annual leave
Group Life Assurance
Enhanced maternity pay
Employee Assistance Programme and bereavement support
Paid volunteering leave
Free independent financial advice
Discounted legal services

Interested? Drop me a message and I'll happily fill you in on the team, the work and why I think this could be a really good move for the right person!
