Our client is seeking an experienced, hands-on Finance Controller to lead the finance function across a multi-company manufacturing business. Managing a small team, you will ensure accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities
-
Office based role
-
Lead all accounting, reporting, forecasting and month-end processes
-
Produce management accounts, board reports and financial analysis
-
Manage cash flow, payroll, VAT returns and year-end accounts

Liaise with auditors, HMRC and regulatory bodies

Oversee sales and purchase ledgers, credit control and reconciliations
-
Manage multi-currency ledgers, journals and fixed assets
-
Prepare R&D tax claims and support Patent Box requirements

Calculate bonus and commission payments

Work closely with operational teams and Sage Manufacturing systems

Lead and develop the finance team
Requirements
-
ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or qualified by experience

Minimum 10 years' finance leadership experience

Manufacturing sector background essential

Strong management accounting and reporting expertise

Advanced Excel skills; Sage 200 Manufacturing desirable

Knowledge of R&D tax claims and Patent Box advantageous
