We're supporting a growing critical power services business in Havant who are looking for a Hire Coordinator to join their Service team.
Offering Upto £30,000 depending on experience, this is a varied position combining customer service, hire coordination, fleet management, administration and commercial responsibilities.
What's the role all about?
As the Hire Coordinator, you'll take ownership of the complete equipment hire process, becoming the main point of contact for customers throughout their hire.
From the initial enquiry and quotation through to equipment availability, delivery, installation, servicing and eventual off-hire, you'll make sure customers receive an efficient and professional service.
You'll work closely with Service Coordinators, Engineers, suppliers and internal departments, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who loves being organised, building customer relationships and keeping multiple priorities moving at the same time.
Key responsibilities
Take ownership of customer hire requirements from initial enquiry through to off-hire
Act as the main point of contact for customers with equipment on hire
Produce accurate and timely customer quotations
Coordinate equipment availability, preparation, delivery, installation and commissioning
Manage hire extensions, exchanges, off-hires and collections
Maintain accurate hire contracts, orders and asset information
Monitor hire fleet availability and utilisation, helping to maintain a utilisation rate above 75%
Coordinate servicing, inspections, testing and repairs for hire equipment
Work closely with Service Coordinators to schedule engineers for servicing, callouts, PDI and remedial work
Ensure engineers receive the technical, site and operational information required to complete work safely
Coordinate fuel requirements for equipment on hire
Manage replacement equipment where items are faulty, damaged, lost or stolen
Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations for hired-in equipment and services
Raise purchase orders and arrange parts and equipment as required
Review supplier and third-party hire invoices against agreed quotations and purchase orders
Prepare applications for payment and information required for invoicing
Produce pre-month estimates for ongoing customer hires
Maintain accurate customer and commercial information within the CRM system
Produce daily, weekly and monthly reports covering fleet availability, utilisation, upcoming hires, maintenance and revenue
Provide customers and engineers with documentation including RAMS, equipment information and delivery paperwork
Customer service is key
This isn't simply an administration position.
You'll build relationships with customers, understand their requirements and ensure they're kept informed throughout the entire hire process.
You'll also be encouraged to identify additional opportunities where other products or services could support the customer, making commercial awareness an important part of the role.

Previous experience within equipment hire, engineering, plant hire, generators, service coordination or a technical environment would be particularly beneficial.
