Learning Support Assistant – Further Education Colleges

Salary: £15.30 - £18.80 PAYE

About the Role
We are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work across a number of Further Education colleges in London.
We have opportunities available across multiple locations and are looking for experienced, reliable and enthusiastic LSAs who are passionate about supporting learners to succeed.
You may be supporting learners in mainstream FE programmes, Supported Learning, SEND provision or Foundation Learning, depending on your experience and the college requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small-group learning support to students.
Support learners with additional learning needs, SEND and EHCPs.
Assist students to access lessons, activities and college life.
Work closely with teaching staff and the wider support team.
Help learners develop independence, confidence and employability skills.
Support with communication, organisation and engagement where required.
Provide appropriate support with personal care where relevant to the role.
Follow individual support plans and EHCP outcomes.
Promote positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment.
Maintain safeguarding and professional standards at all times.We Are Looking For
Previous experience working as an LSA, Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Support Assistant or similar.
Experience working with 16–19 or adult learners within an FE college is essential.
Experience supporting learners with SEND is highly desirable.
Good understanding of safeguarding and working within an educational environment.
Reliable, professional and able to build positive relationships with learners.
Flexible regarding location and college requirements.
Enhanced Child & Adult DBS registered on the Update Service (UDS) is essential.Why Apply?
